THE FIRST 24:

BUT, FIRST, COFFEE…

In our Yoho & Co. studio, we’re obsessed with the Signature Blend from RAVE COFFEE for our morning pour-overs. So grab your fav morning sip from Rave, then head over for gourmet French patisserie treats at LE FOURNIL where everything is freshly-baked and ahhh-mazing.

Once you finish your Pain au chocolat, you’ll want to burn off those calories with a ski at the local World Cup and 1988 Olympic’s venue, the CANMORE NORDIC CENTRE. Skis can be rented on location before you set out on your journey on the track-set, hour-ish long loop, the Banff Avenue Trail.

After your refreshing glide, head back Downtown for a fresh-pressed juice & wrap from the newly reno’d MOUNTAIN JUICE CAFE (and don’t forget a selfie outside their really colourful art wall mural).

Mouth-watering: Mountain Juice Cafe is a must-stop in Canmore since 2001.

Re-nourished, you can now spend the rest of the afternoon checking out the adorable boutiques on Main Street. Find gorgeous jewelry and socks at MOUNTAIN MERCANTILE and don’t forget to to shop for YOHO & CO. at ALBERTA’S OWN (where they specialize in awesome Alberta-made art and have a great selection of those cute knit hats with the poofs that you see everyone wearing).

Wind down your day with a designer cocktail at WHERE THE BUFFALO ROAM (aka ‘the Buff’) before you grab dinner at the uber-delicious 4296.

THE NEXT 24:

GO AHEAD… WAKE UP LATE.

At Yoho & Co, we love to start the day by enjoying some plant-based breakfast options (we are addicted to the vegan burrito) at COMMUNITEA. Once seated in their modern-cozy space, you can lazily plan your day of La Dolce Vita — Canmore-style.

Next, grab your car or ride the bus up towards Cougar Creek, for a photo opp on Canmore’s legendary rope swing. Directions.

After you’ve swung your heart out, wander the Policeman Creek boardwalk back to the downtown area stopping at the ‘BIG HEAD’ for a photo opp.

Continue walking or grab a taxi to CRAZYWEED for a lunch of leisure in their bright and airy space before wandering back to your hotel for a soak in the outdoor hot pools.

End the day with a stop at WILDLIFE DISTILLERY or CANMORE BREWING to sample their award-winning mountain-crafted cocktails or pints. Appetite sufficiently whet, head to dinner at the RHYTHM & HOWL, where you’ll begin planning your next trip back to delightful Canmore.

Rent some skates and head to one of Canmore’s spectacular ponds for a glide.
